Giacomo’s Ristorante & Pizzeria: Our Story
Giacomo Romeo learned the art of Italian cooking by helping his grandmother and mother cook for the Royal Family in Sicily. He became a chef in 1946, after serving in the U.S. Navy as a deep sea diver, and opening Romeo’s Restaurant with his wife in the North Beach area of San Francisco.
He owned restaurants in San Mateo, Los Altos, Menlo Park and now Giacomo’s Ristorante & Pizzeria of Petaluma.
Today, we proudly continue our family legacy and traditions. The traditional cuisine created by Chef Romeo has no sugar in the sauces and no tenderizers. Giacomo’s wife and daughter who was raised in the restaurant business oversee the restaurant and also carry on the family legacy. We are proud to have been serving Sonoma County since 1988.
We take great pride in the preparation of your meal; all foods are fresh and made to order.
